Paver Installation FAQ

Common questions about paver patios, driveways, and walkways in South Jersey

How much do pavers cost per square foot in South Jersey?
Paver installation typically ranges from $25–$35 per square foot depending on the paver brand and collection (Techo-Bloc, Belgard, or Marmiro Stone), pattern complexity, site preparation, and access. A standard 300 sq ft patio usually falls in the $7,500–$10,500 range. We provide free on-site estimates.
Which paver brand is best — Techo-Bloc, Belgard, or Marmiro?
Techo-Bloc leads in modern design and color retention — their Blu-60 and Terrazano lines are our most popular. Belgard offers the widest range of classic and contemporary styles. Marmiro Stone is imported natural stone for luxury installations. We'll help you pick the right brand at your consultation.
How long do paver installations last?
Premium pavers on a properly prepared base last 25+ years — often the lifetime of the home. The key is the base: compacted stone aggregate with proper drainage, polymeric sand joints, and edge restraints that keep everything locked through South Jersey's freeze-thaw cycles.
Are pavers better than stamped concrete?
Both are excellent — we install both. Pavers win on repairability, variety of textures, and resistance to cracking. Stamped concrete wins on cost (typically 30–40% less), seamless look, and curves. Read our full comparison.
Do pavers need maintenance?
Pavers require periodic polymeric sand replacement (every 1–3 years) and occasional weed control. Sealing is optional but recommended every 2–3 years. Compared to stamped concrete (mandatory resealing), pavers are lower-maintenance overall.
Can you install pavers over existing concrete?
In some cases, yes — using a thin sand setting bed, provided the concrete is structurally sound with proper drainage. It raises the finished height which can create threshold issues. We'll assess your situation during our free inspection.
How long does paver installation take?
Most residential projects take 3–7 days. A standard patio (200–400 sq ft) typically takes 3–4 days. Driveways and larger outdoor living projects with add-ons can take 1–2 weeks.
What's the best paver pattern for driveways?
Herringbone is the gold standard — the interlocking 45° or 90° pattern creates the strongest resistance to shifting under vehicle traffic. Running bond is also popular for a cleaner, modern look.
Do you handle permits?
Yes — we handle all necessary permits and work directly with your municipality. Most residential patios and walkways don't require permits, but driveways, retaining walls over a certain height, and projects near property lines often do.
Do you serve my area?
We serve all of South Jersey — Gloucester County (Mullica Hill, Washington Township, Swedesboro, Woolwich, Mantua, Pitman, Glassboro, Woodbury, Deptford, Sewell, Turnersville) and Camden County (Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Voorhees, Collingswood, Haddon Township, Bellmawr). Also parts of Burlington and Salem Counties. View all →
